Yesterdays forum the picture size was 200kbs, when I went to upload today it says 19.5kbs or 97kbs. Do you want the pictures made that small or should I wait for A forum adjustment?

Why is it I'm not able to just use the quick reply options without pressing the button? The box is there? Would it be all that much of a change to make it possible to just lick the box and start typing?

hi lickatee,

have you tried upload some big images? i don't think there are any image size restrictions. try a few sizes and let me know.

Yes there are size restrictions. If you click the paper clip it will give the file size allowed and height & width too, given in a chart.

But thats not why I'm here. I know it's a new site, but are we going to be able to have avatars up soon?

I guess that depends on who's box you wanna lick :p
But if you open it with the little arrow it should stay open - it does for me. I can't find anything in the options to set it though

but more importantly...........why does lickateesplit have 26,513 posts and this brings my total to 4??????????

Are we going to increase the number of attachments per post?
GG allows 10 while spf it seems to be unlimited

BTW can you make attachment size about 250kb?
The average vidcap I make is about 240kb

No problems, just a few questions.
What are the three icons in the lower left hand corner?
I know the green dot is and on line indecator. What about scale and caution sign?
And want does "Rep Power" mean? Is there a FAQ thread?
Thanks

you click on the scales to add/subtract reputation to that user. I'm not sure if the "Rep power" is the aggregate of all the rep recieved but it seems logical.
edit: maybe it has something to do with the actual number of posts made here cos adding rep doesn't appear to alter it
I guess we need to hit someone with a lot of neg rep to see if it turns red?
The Triangular icon is the "Report post" button........I'm gonna have to see what happens when it's used?

FYI mods have more icons to distract them, 1 is a simple IP address. Another is new (or I've been to drunk to notice b4) and I like it Rav

Post count was back to 0?
Not that I had a decent post count to begin with, but I posted 3 times on this board and possibly a whopping 20 on the old board.
What happened?

I got no idea what happened to them and there have been no threads deleted.
Are you sure you clicked the correct button to send them?
I've done it a few times - clicked the "reply" button when I meant to click the "post quick reply" button

the window title always give away what i am doing even if i mimize it. How about making the title always be "TheCompounds" so i can minimize instead of exit if somebody strolls up to me. That way they wont know what im doing

I suggest that you just open a lot of windows/tabs so they are reduced to an unreadable size :D

Not being a Mac user (ever!!!!11) I'm not sure if there is a program that will make caps like are often posted. A look around leads me to find this:
Mac OS X: Use VLC instead of Apple's DVD player. Then use Apple-Shift-3 for full screen captures or Apple-Shift-4 for cropped ones, then look on Desktop for numbered files named Picture1, Picture 2, etc.

You can the VLC for Mac here (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html)

I understand it might have some problems with .wmv files.
You might not know about Flip4Mac (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=915D874D-D747-4180-A400-5F06B1B5E559&displaylang=en) which may help with those problems

Since I'm searching another boards Mac hints you might like this:
http://dcs.digicow.net/ajoiner/
It's a tool to join split files that normal people use HJSplit or Mastersplitter for :D

But 120+ posts by some Mac geeks doesn't mention a screencap util.
